Sounds great - is it common to use the major seventh as a base/drone in lydian? I thought the root being C and then vamping D-major/C-major on top of that was the most common way to establish a lydian mode? It sounds great with that C-maj7 chord, of course. It feels like a B-locrian or b-pentatonic scale is more comfortable to play over this than an actual C-lydian. Any thoughts? Thanks for a great track, never the less.
